"Great location, good food & nice room."

1) Location great in the centre of the town. 2) Room was nice although it was difficult to close the window ( storm was rising outside ) 3) Breakfast was very good ( quick toast ! ) 4) Safe in the room although a little high for reaching 5) We were at a 70th birthday party in the hotel & this was run excellently - lovely food & service. 6) Free car park nearby. 7) Great shower

Nothing major but as I always try & include something "for improvement" here you go : 1) We had lunch in the hotel where I asked for marmalade which never arrived so I had to go get it myself ( small I know ! ). 2) This is not an issue for this hotel only but...I needed €20 on Sunday morning and asked at reception if they could provide it as part of the bill. They were unable to oblige so I had to go out in the rain to the neared ATM & got soaked.....the rain was pouring down. As I say I know most hotels if not all where I've asked for this facility I get the same answer. Not sure why but the problem is when I look back on this visit one of the first memories will be the soaking I got on Easter Sunday morning !! The hotel blurb was to provide an " unforgettable" experience so so maybe my expectations were greater than normal. This would be where a hotel goes "above & beyond". Not here I'm afraid. It was good but not great.

Staff were so friendly 10 out of 10...they are the reason I would stay again!

I didn't want know the real bar was at the other end of the hotel...it's a hidden gem!
