Sharon Hotel Herzliya

A return visit to this comfortable hotel close to a sandy beach and local restaurants. A relaxing stay in a lovely generous room with garden access and views of the sea. We stayed here with two teenagers who were very comfortable with WiFi access and a pool. Beware - the inside pool is for over 16 years. The breakfast is a bit pricey, we opted for buying food from local shops - though we did have a few problems like the fridge in our room freezing all our food and drink. The fridge was changed but the problem not resolved, however this did not distract from a very pleasant visit and we would come back again. Some parts of the hotel are tired but the location is great if you want a relaxing break: walks along the beach, coffee shops, local restaurants, a little shopping and access to Tel Aviv and Haifa. Oh and a spa, pool, gym and great water aerobics class. A place to chill and also get fit.

The services and staff are very terrible. Not friendly.

It was kind of ok if the rate was like a one start hotels. Rooms are generally old. You can hear in the corridor when guests take shower in their rooms. Spiral stairs makes a groaning noise. I think staff are friendly and good with me but the hotel should invest more to maintain the condition and facilities.

There were large bugs in the room and the staff had a hard time understanding English but the beach is mice

Probably the hotel once had a better time. The facilities are run down a bit. We were surprised that the maintainance was poor. For example there was garbage on some chairs in the garden and the cups on the breakfast table were not clean. On the hotel-entrance to the beach there was garbage as well and it took two days till somebody cleaned it. So: For half the price it would be ok, but not for the actual price segment.

Lovely pool, not at all crowded. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Room was not new but very clean and tidy. Bathroom was great.
