"good location"

The hotel is very near to the main shopping street and restaurants. However, the hotel looks old and no water kettle is provided. The room is small and the bathroom is very small too.

"Outstanding hotel to stay"

Very special place seefront in the beauthifull small town of Sanremo. Hotel structure and services are at the top. For sure we will come back in the future and will recommend this hotel at all our friends.

"Nice hotel and staff shame about the food"

For a five star hotel the food was a great disappointment. Frozen chiips for goodness sake! Pool food brought down from the main restaurant so not hot when it arrived! Flavourless risotto and hard tempura in the main dining room. Maybe the main chef wasn't on duty as it is towards the end of the seaso.

"Excellent hotel"

Excellent hotel, great stuff. Located close to the beach with seawater pool. Free parking. Helpful staff. Great views from the balcony. Recommended to everyone who is looking for relaxing vacation on the sea shore.

"Walking up those stairs can be a pain"

Nice view. Lots of history. Room quite bland. Too little on the comforts such as no iron, mini bar is scant, beds are very hard and shower is not becoming of a first class hotel. Food was great and pool area is divine

"Royal San Remo "

lovely hotel but some rooms now need refurbishment. Staff are lovely; some guests very demanding and a bit arrogant, can spoil atmosphere (lots of rich guests, some of whom are lacking in manners). Breakfast lovely; tennis 24 euros an hr, bit steep, not a free hotel facility. Spa and spa staff excellent as are the pool staff. Sea view rooms rather small - need to upgrade to suite for more room. Back of hotel rooms appear quite a bit bigger (family member in one of these). Third visit - lovely hotel but think it's time to move on. Would probably consider again in future.

"Beautiful old hotel, bit disappointed with bedroom"

Lovely old hotel with public rooms well maintained. Only disappointment was sea view room. Rather small, very firm mattress and wallpaper beginning to peel at the joints. In fact a piece near the dressing table had some sellotape sticking it back down. Staff very courteous and found the pool staff excellent and very attentive. Expensive hotel with some rather demanding guests which just occasionally spoils the atmosphere. Nice tennis court but €24 per hour. We do like this hotel and have been before but not sure whether feel need to return in near future. Overall would recommend it though.

"A Princess Experience"
