Dover Beach Hotel

Great location beachfront and in walking distance to st Lawrence gap. Friendly & helpful staff. Family suite was spacious enough for three adults.

Our shower had very low pressure. Sometimes the bar and restaurant service was very slow, which may have been due to a shortage of staff.

Looks lovely and has good reviews but did not live up to expectations. This hotel is made up of three buildings. We weren’t in the main building but one next door. I expected a kitchenette but there was only a fridge, microwave and kettle in a tiny alcove - 2 cups and saucers and nothing else! I did get some plates and cutlery when requested but nothing seemed very well planned in the room with loads of wasted space. There are two pool areas - one in main hotel with the bar and restaurant and the other outside the apartments across the way. This was nice and quiet in a garden setting. Only had one breakfast and one lunch in the hotel which was ok but plenty of places to eat nearby. Apart from one evening, there was nothing happening in the bar area and the bar closed about 8 o’clock. Having said that, the staff were great and always happy to help.

Disappointed with the accommodations. Chipped peeling paint on the walls. Mold in the bathroom. Lack of toiletries. Old and dirty pool chairs. Most of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The seagrape staff was excellent. Food and drinks were great.

Several bugs that looked like roaches. Rust on bathroom towel rack
