Location

No hot water for nearly 24hours

I booked this as it said it was only 400m from the train station. I planned to walk. However the accomodation is not adjacent to the train, rather involved a walk through a park which was unlit at night. I took a taxi and it was a 4 minute drive. There were quite a few homeless people sleeping across the road in the park, and they were queuing up for a free coffee/food van across from the accomodation in the morning. As someone who rarely visits Brisbane this surprised me as this accomodation was not that cheap. However the room was clean, bed comfy and bathroom relatively clean.

I arrived at 9.30pm so the door was locked. I could see staff inside but had to wait 5 minutes for them to answer the bell and open the door to let me in. Grout in the bathroom floor was a bit grotty, but I think they may be in the process of renovating.

Staff were excellent in dealing with my complaints.

Noisy contractors on surrounding sites early in the morning and Noisy guests when checking in and out of the hotel.

Location. Breakfast ok. Complementary bottle of wine was nice.

Difficult to find lights. Lamp next to bed heavy. Only one was plugged in. Shower was a bit difficult and no toothpaste. Soap awkward to use and no bottled water
