Accra Beach Hotel & Spa

Check-in was slow, room was not ready until 2.5 hours passed checking in time. Bar service is a bit slow, I mainly used them used them to get ice and mixers. Overall, I would consider staying here again due to the location which is near the airport (20-25 minutes away), close to many shops and places to eat. The beach and umbrella/chair service was great. You are able to walk to huts offering food and drinks. The cleaning staff did a great job cleaning the room. Check-out group was much more efficient and friendly. Getting taxis to this location was easy.

The property is beautiful but was remodeled many years ago and really needs to be done again. The beach is in desperate need of new lounge chairs and umbrellas and should have them all laid out for guests instead of pulling them out when someone arrives. This creates artificial scarcity with the chairs which causes guests to wake up early, put their towels on the chairs then leave until the afternoon. There were discarded cups and straws on the beach for days which it seems did not fall under anyone's responsibility to clean up. The water pressure in the hotel was very low and actually was turned off for 3 hours one afternoon for maintenance without notice. None of this was horrible enough for me to suggest avoiding this hotel, just be aware of what to expect.

The hotel needs refurbishing. The rooms are very dated and fixtures and fittings are coming off the walls, draws and wardrobe can’t close smoothly due to them being old and worn out. The staff aren’t the friendliest considering Barbados is a super friendly country. When you ask the staff something it’s like you are inconveniencing them. It’s not somewhere I would choose to stay again unfortunately It’s very overpriced for what it is

Love sparkly view of beach and property. Everything so accessible. Staff are friendly, wonderful and supportive. And place is spotless. Been to Accra several times and already planning a trip back. Highly recommend!

It was our first time staying at the Accra in Barbados. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The beach was beautiful. The hotel is a little dated, but nothing to be concerned with will definitely go again. The people and the island of Barbados is one of the best places to travel.

We’ve been vacationing at the Accra for several years now. It’s so wonderful to return year after year and be greeted warmly by the manager and staff. Area around the Accra is second to none! Beach is amazing! Can’t wait to return next year 💕😀🏝️

Safe in the room didn’t work. No microwave. Chair distribution on the beach needs to be changed.
