Penha Longa Resort

We had a truly delightful stay at this hotel. The service was exceptional - attentive, friendly, and highly professional throughout. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The on-site restaurants offered a diverse selection of dishes. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience, and I would gladly return.

We had an amazing stay at Penha Longa Resort — it truly felt like stepping into a different world tucked into the mountains of Sintra. The setting is incredible, and the slightly cooler weather made it even more enjoyable compared to the city. The hotel itself has clearly had a recent facelift, and everything feels fresh and well done. Our two-room adjoining suite was perfect for our family — spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out. The food options were outstanding across the board, and breakfast was absolutely over the top — easily one of the best we’ve had traveling. What really made the stay special, though, was the people. The staff overall was fantastic, but a few stood out: Leonor at the pool was incredibly kind and personable, offering great local recommendations and helpful menu suggestions for our week Claudia at the front desk went above and beyond — truly exceptional service Raquel, one of the managers, was always present and checking in with guests. When she heard we were heading to Lisbon, she shared great insights and even printed a travel guide for us This is an extremely family-friendly resort and a great place to spend a full week with kids. It’s also a perfect home base for exploring Sintra and nearby Cascais. Overall, an extraordinary experience — we’ll absolutely be back.
