Hilltop Motel

Ok, so motel is fine. But have to say eating at their on-site resurant was terrible. The worst food. You know there's a problem when the waiter brings you a steak knife for a pork belly dish saying it 'might be a bit tough'. $45 inedible meal. Taking the mick. Gave us a free dessert that was terrible too.

The on-site resturant food was terrible, and people smoking and coughing outside their room opposite us.

In need of serious update. Room should have been shut down for repair Bathroom /shower area tiny water on bathroom floor from leaking toilet. Smelly drain in bathroom Mini hand basin inadequate. Step up in floor leading to bathroom dangerous . Large step up from outside to enter room also dangerous and render broken needs repair . Microwave needs replacement , kettle lid broken hard to come off . Torn upholstery in chair / dirty .

Room was clean and bed was comfortable

Kitchen utensils were lacking for cooking available

Very quiet motel not far from town. Small room and bathroom but they have done their best to design around the available space. One wall has floor to ceiling glass and a sliding glass door with sliding insect screen - more motels need this! I booked two rooms. My son arrived before us so he was able to check us in. Our rooms faced West - good in Winter - so we could sit outside in the late afternoon. Very impressed with their restaurant!! (Betina's).
