Sonesta Simply Suites Chicago Waukegan

I came for my daughter’s boot camp graduation and the location of the hotel was perfect with less than 10 away from the venue. Restaurants and shopping were directly across the street from the hotel. I highly recommend.

Beautiful and clean room

The location. Only the location.

Where do I start? We had to pay 25.00 per night to park in t he parking lot, we were not aware of the charge. There is no lobby. The staff was very unfriendly accept one lady. Had cigarette smoke fill our bathroom twice per day. The first night at 0200 the smoke alarm went off in our room when we were asleep. Only saw a cleaning person once in 4 days. Old building with no updates. Smelled bad and they tried to cover it up with overwhelming amounts of spray. Dogs barking in one room for hours on end. Felt itchy at night in the bed. No bugs though. Trust me we looked. No breakfast or lobby room to sit. Ghetto AF staff. Holy Ghetto. One staff member had a friend of theirs in the lobby when we showed up. Not a worker. This person parked out in the lot late on Friday night blasting his music in his car. WTF. I felt very uncomfortable not having my concealed carry with me. Slept with one eye open. I am not sorry for this review. You should see my Google review. I hope Noone wastes money on this place. Any family visiting for Navy graduation please be aware of this place.
