DoubleTree by Hilton Portland - Beaverton

Staff were ok but my room had a very strong odor of urine. I complained right away and was told the hotel was booked. They didn’t have other rooms until the next day. The next day I couldn’t move, I had plans already. The person at the front desk said he was going to send someone to throughly clean the carpet. They never did. After I called that evening they send a girl to spray and kind of “clean” the toilet. I didn’t like that. Not a pleasant experience.

Room was big and very clean. The smell was a little off for me. Bed was comfy... pillow were good but a little small. But the front desk brought me another one without hesitation when I asked. Pool felt perfect for being an indoor pool. Not too cold, not too hot. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Staff was really friendly and the facility/room was really clean. Didn’t like the fact they charged an additional fee for breakfast but we went to Krispy Crème instead.

Perfect location for visiting friends nearby. Very friendly and welcoming reception staff. Housekeeping left a lot to be desired. Our room wasn’t made up after our first night. The tea and coffee was not replenished. Nice, clean room though. I’d stay again because of the location, but bring your own milk, sugar and tea bags!

Here for a medical appointment. Staff very cooperative about extending check out time.

I came early and asked if it was possible to check in, knowing it depends on the situation at the time. The woman said ‘check in is at 4’ and it seemed like an imposition for her to check. She said nothing was available. I knew that could be the case, but at other Hilton properties I have stayed at they can either accommodate or are gracious about letting you know it isn’t possible. The toilet was not properly connected to the floor. When you sat on it it made a loud noise as it moved a quarter inch or so slamming to the floor. The bath fan was loud, and I could hear the neighboring bath fan more than normal. The other staff I came in contact with including the person that ended up checking me in, the maids in the hall and the other desk staff were all very friendly. The stay was otherwise comfortable.

This was an okay stay. I’ve experienced better from Doubletree. Housekeeping never came to my room even after I removed my do not disturb before 10a. The front desk did not come off friendly and appeared to deliberately not make eye contact with guests coming in and out. The room was clean at arrival and accommodations were good.

Excellent property. Easy chk in.

Staff was super friendly, fresh cookie’s always a plus. The room was clean and spacious. Just what we needed. We did not use the pool, so unable to review that. I would stay here again.

The hotel was average and did not even have a bar of hand soap in the bathroom.
