The location was convenient

The guy at the front desk could have been friendlier when I checked in, the elevator didn’t work properly, the water went out first thing in the morning, no microwave in the room, no phones in the room… Definitely not worth what I paid. Felt like one step up from the Red Roof Inn.

Hyatt Place is described as an "upscale select-service brand" and that may be true for some of the properties in this chain. However, service levels at THIS property have slipped. It's the little things: 1--two ice machines -- neither working -- but staff directed us to both. 2--breakfast over at 9:30am but when we got to the lobby at 9:37am, every TRACE of coffee and breakfast had been removed -- not possible in 7 minutes! What time did it REALLY end???? 3--the well-known Hyatt Place large flat-panel "swivel" TV has been replaced with a smaller wall-mounted flat-screen version. It swings out, but still....... The positives: the property is clean. Bedding/linen is Hyatt's typical high standard. Plenty of hot water. There's adequate lighting. Property feels safe. Excellent rate (under $100). Just adjust your expectations down a notch and you'll be satisfied.

I was a little difficult to get to but not too far off the threw away. The staff was decent.

We selected the hotel because we have been traveling with children from Florida to New York and needed a rest. This was about a halfway point. The photos online looked nice. The price was not too bad. When we arrived it was late and the checking process was long (having computer issues) we were tired and the kids wanted to get to bed. The room that we received was completely janky. There was hair in our bed that didn’t belong to us and hair all over the room in various places. The bathroom was a complete nightmare. The bathtub it self had multiple enameled spots missing, it was so slick and my son fell 3 times, while showering. The tile had a complete hack job repair. The faucets to turn on and off the shower felt like it was going to push through the wall. The room just felt dirty and was beat down. You can tell that it had flooded at one point. The breakfast in the morning was not good. The pool was empty. I Was just overall completely disappointed. I called to complain and get at least a partial refund and receive no follow up. We would absolutely not recommend.
