Element by Marriott Chelmsford

Some reviews are about the service and some are about the facilities. This one is both. We were planning to stay at another area hotel that ended up being not the nicest - so we last minute stopped in the Element and Kerry at the front desk could not have been nicer or more helpful! We were in town for our high school reunion and they stored the cake for us until it was time to go. The room was perfect for my girlfriends and I with two beds and a sofa bed - very clean and comfortable (even the sofa bed!). Would definitely recommend if you need a place to stay in the area!!

Cleanliness is A1!

We enjoyed staying at the Element Chelmsford because it was quiet, the staff was very helpful, the room was comfortable, along with the bed and the breakfast was great. In addition, we appreciated the free charging - we have a plug-in hybrid. The only suggestion is to have sturdier pillows.

This is a very nice hotel with minimalist yet comfortable rooms; we had a one bedroom suite and as requested, got a quiet spot at the end of a hall on the top floor. We were there for one night -- a memorial gathering for a family member who passed away several months ago-- I told this to Stephanie at the front desk a few days before when I called, and we were so touched to receive a warm personal note from her and a small basket of snack goodies in our room when we checked in, it really was a nice touch. Our room was very clean and seemed done over recently, the a/c system was quiet and efficient. Breakfast was a very nice surprise, fresh omelettes and french toast made to order and a nice selection of continental breakfast type foods, the area was clean and well-stocked. However, the mattress was VERY soft and the pillows were flat as pancakes, way past their "sell by dates" and made for an uncomfortable night for those of us with back issues. But the biggest negative keeping us from giving this five stars was the incredibly sour and sullen staff at check-in and checkout. No greeting, no smile, no welcome, no acknowledgement of Marriott Titanium, nothing. Different staffer, same treatment upon checkout, no "how was your stay" or "hope to see you again"... this could easily be a five-star property with more attention to the customer experience and bedding! And please, hire more "Stephanies"! :)

Close to many restaurants. We chose this location for our stop prior to arriving in Lebanon New Hampshire

Long time Marriott guy here, but first time at an Element. I really like it! Lobby is open with plenty of gathering places. The spacious rooms were modern and I loved the layout with a full kitchenette. The location was great with plenty of casual places to eat within a 3 minute walk (Chipotle, Starbucks, Cava etc.). Since I drive an EV, chargers are a must and if they are free (which they are here) even better! Check in was great, the guy at the front desk was very pleasant and professional. Plus a decent free breakfast. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the water for my shower was luke warm at best. I was hoping it was just the time of day but tried it the next day and it just wouldn’t not get hot. Other than that, A+ all around.

Great, especially for business travel.

The property is well kept and in a good location. My only complaints are that the pool was being repaired and we didn’t find out until check-in. That was a big part of our vacation plan. They offered to give us a pass to another hotel pool but that was inconvenient. Secondly, everytime we walked into our room we could smell cigarettes. It was worse on housekeeping days. For a non-smoker this was a huge turnoff. The bar was great, the beds are fluffy, and the room was very nice.

Our room was excellent and very clean/comfortable. Mike at the front desk was always friendly, greeted everyone as soon as they entered the building, and was very helpful while also making our check in quick and easy. The breakfast options were plentiful and delicious. Tillie was great and made delicious omelettes. Very clean fitness room and laundry room with plenty of washers/dryers. The pool was closed, but they had the option of going to another nearby hotel to use their pool area. Nearby food and grocery stores were within easy walking distance.
