Menori, a fully renovated, spacious, and charming traditional cottage, is an absolute gem nestled in the stunning countryside of Kalymnos island. It is situated within a short distance from the most beautiful beaches and bays of the island, while also benefiting from the tranquility of the Kalymnian countryside. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of unparalleled warmth and comfort. The attention to detail in the decor made us feel instantly at home, and the fully stocked fridge with a variety of local delicacies was a delightful surprise. Each morning, we were treated to a sumptuous breakfast spread that catered to every taste, setting the perfect tone for our days of exploration. Nick and Chara, the hosts, are the epitome of hospitality. Their welcoming and generous nature, coupled with their untrusive yet attentive presence, made our stay truly exceptional. Their guidance and assistance throughout our time in Kalymnos were invaluable, and their proactive approach to ensuring our comfort exemplified Greek hospitality at its finest. Our experience at Menori was nothing short of unforgettable, thanks to Nick and Chara. We are immensely grateful for the memories they have given us and can't recommend their cottage highly enough!

The layout of the suite was fantastic. Efficient, cozy, and clean, we had plenty of space to spread out for a family of two adults, one child, and an infant. We requested a crib for our baby; it was quite roomy and comfortable for our 5 month old. Our 4 year old loved the loft bed, which was a really unique experience! I ended up staying with him just to be safe, but for an older child or teenager, it is a fun way to sleep on their own. It was great having a washer to get laundry done. Since we reserved with the breakfast option, we had a wonderfully stocked fridge with basic essentials plus extra goodies. Our son loved eating breakfast at the spacious table on the terrace. And the view was fabulous! The bathroom was also nicely equipped with quality toiletries. The hosts were very considerate, thoughtful, and responsive to our needs. We felt welcomed with true Greek hospitality!

Managing climate control was a challenge. Of course, we were staying during an intense heat wave, so it's understandable. It took some time to cool down the loft bed space, even at night, with AC on full blast. Perhaps if a safe (childsafe) fan were to be installed in the loft to help circulate air, that would help. We did come across a variety of bugs inside and outside, but honestly, that's everywhere on the island, so you get used to it. Parking was difficult as the property sits on a curve, but parking is generally a challenge on the tight roads of the island. We eventually found a decent spot up the road, including a little shade.

The house was beautifully arranged and furnished, making for a very comfortable visit. It had everything we could possibly have needed, including comfortable sofas for resting in the evening, a washing machine, and a well-appointed kitchen. Air conditioning throughout made for comfortable nights. Nick and Chara had left us wine, food, water and gifts for our arrival - a very nice touch, and the wine was delicious. We had our breakfast each morning outside on the terrace, enjoying the spacious views up the valley towards Chora, We were a bit disappointed with the location at first, but we came to realise that it's actually spot-on. Three minutes walk takes you to the main road at Elies, where there are shops, a supermarket, a choice of tavernas, and the bus stop to Pothia, Massouri and Plati Gialos. And a short walk of 10 minutes takes you down to the beach at Linaria, one of the best sandy beaches that we came across. No need for a car, especially as Nick had picked us up at the start of our stay and then took us down to the port on our final morning.

It was pretty much perfect. From time to time a noisy truck or bike would pass by on the road outside, but there's not so much traffic as to be unpleasant.

Beautiful Cocomat decoration. Very comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. Fruits and sweets when we arrived. Great view from the balcony. Privacy. Fantastic accomodation!

Nicos and Hara who are the property owners are trully amazing hosts. They offered us help with the rental car, they came to greet us at the port and showed us the way to the property, they were always available to help us with any questions that we had. We also ordered lunch meals with our reservation and the food was delicious, a big help when travelling with kids. The house is a traditional island house, super cute and comfy for a family with 2-3 kids. The appartment had all the necessary amenities. We also had our small dog with us which was not an issue. The AC works perfectly. The kitchen is well equipped. We had the breakfast option and the hosts filled our fridge with food and we actually didn't manage to eat all the food for our breakfast. There is also a washing machine which was very useful for us. The bathroom had tooth brushes and wonderful Apivita products which we used with pleasure :) Overall a very positive experience which made our holidays even better.
