Hyatt Centric Chicago Magnificent Mile

My stay was amazing! The staff went above and beyond to ensure my coworkers and I had a great experience. The rooms were incredibly clean and comfortable, and the bed was so cozy that I’m honestly still contemplating calling to ask what mattress brand you use because it was some of the best sleep I’ve gotten in a long time lol. I also really appreciated all the thoughtful small touches throughout the stay, especially the sleep sound machine such a nice detail that made the experience even more relaxing.

Love the location near the shopping and restaurants. Love the Centric properties in general. Thjis one was no exception. Enjoyed breakfast daily and it was really good.

I would strongly advise anyone looking for a place to stay in Chicago to steer completely clear of the Hyatt Centric Magnificent Mile. There are far too many incredible, high-quality hospitality choices in this city to waste your time and money on a property that treats its guests so poorly. While the room itself was baseline acceptable, the overall experience was ruined by atrocious service and lack of basic cleanliness. To start, the sheets on the bed had a distinctly damp, musty odor to them—unacceptable for any hotel, let alone a Hyatt Centric. However, the real failure of this property is its staff, who are remarkably rude, unhelpful, and completely miserable. A front desk staff member named Andrea was particularly awful. Her attitude was incredibly condescending, aggressively unfriendly, and she seemed genuinely miserable to be doing her job. Dealing with her felt like an adversarial chore rather than a hospitality experience. As a loyal Hyatt member with status, I am supposed to be guaranteed a late checkout. Yet, on the final morning of my stay, the hotel arbitrarily notified me that I had to vacate at the standard checkout time. When a hotel refuses to honor corporate-guaranteed loyalty benefits with zero flexibility, it defeats the entire purpose of staying within the brand. Between the musty linens, the broken loyalty promises, and the downright hostile attitude from the staff—especially Andrea—I will absolutely never return to this property. Save yourself the headache and book literally anywhere else in Chicago.

We stayed at the hotel at the end of April and it was an amazing experience, I had emailed the hotel before we went to ask if we could possibly have an upgrade as it was my husband’s 50th birthday and the room they gave us was beyond my expectations it was amazing and I cannot thank the hotel manager enough for making this experience one of the highlights of my husband’s special birthday, we were blown away, the staff were all so lovely and welcoming and I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone thinking of visiting Chicago it is also right next to the magnificent mile for any shoppers lol! Loved the place, massive thanks again to Fabian for making my husband’s birthday one to remember ♥️

Valet service is slow, think 20 minutes is unacceptable It's connected to the Hospital and very depressing atmosphere

Some good, some bad experiences. My large 6'2" husband had great difficulty with the low beds and getting up and down before and after surgery. The breakfast was excellent. The staff went above and beyond to help us after my husband slid off a stool to the floor. They helped get him up and found a wheelchair to get him out to the car.
