Tripas-Coração, Sá da Bandeira

Beautiful apartment within easy walking distance to all the main attractions, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and near a metro/bus stops. Place was bright, tastefully decorated and quiet. The kitchen, although small, was very well equipped and had everything you'd need to cook a meal and we were glad to see that olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, coffee, sugar, coffee machine, kettle, tea towel, washing up liquid and sponge was also provided! We were able to wash our clothes and the laundry capsules, pegs and airer provided made this easy to do so. The air conditioning worked a treat and wasn't noisy either! There was also shampoo, shower gel, hand wash. The wardrobe was huge and had loads of hangers. The bed was massive and comfortable. We also appreciated the welcome pack of a bottle of port and water.

These are very minor issues but as a customer you might find it helpful to know that shower was really high-great for taller people but if you just wanted to have a body shower and not wash your hair you'd definitely need a shower cap. It was great to see that a hairdryer was provided and you could move it from room to room and it also had a concentrator nozzle and a diffuser attachment but it wasn't very powerful so if, like me, you have lots of hair I'd recommend bringing your own. The pillows were too hard. Finally, the wardrobe, although large, didn't have any drawers in it to put your smalls.

Very central position, very well-equipped apartment. It was easy to communicate with hosts; they were caring and reliable. I liked the personal attention to our needs before and during the stay.

Beautiful apartment in a perfect location: we were able to walk almost everywhere (we only took the Metro once, and broke down and took a taxi once during our 6-night stay!), yet we covered the city thoroughly. It’s also convenient to a Pastelaria and a grocery, which was also important. We plan to return next time we’re in Porto. (P.S. The hosts check in regularly by text, without being intrusive, to make sure all is well. So kind! And the apartment comes with a guide that has ALL the answers.)

The location is fabulous! 5 min from the train station also 5 min to the metro. Supermarket 2 min away! We loved the design and the big windows! Hosts were super responsive and even brought us a gadget to help with the mosquitoes! That was incredibly kind! We also appreciated the bottle of Port! Thanks!

Our apartment was facing the main street and there isn’t any insulation, meaning it‘s VERY loud. There isn‘t AC so we had to open the windows when we got home in the evening but you couldn‘t lead a conversation. Too much noise from the street. We also noticed that the beds in Portugal are small. 😜

Had a great stay at Tripas-Coração, Sá da Bandeira. Was super easy to get in. The apartment is in a great location and is nicely designed and very clean. The hosts were super friendly and available for any questions. Would recommend.
