Holiday Inn Express & Suites Asheville SW - Outlet Ctr Area by IHG

My family stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Asheville SW - Outlet Center Area, located at 12 Rocky Ridge Road, on September 13-14, 2025, in Room 314. Unfortunately, we encountered a serious issue during our stay -- we discovered bed bugs in our room. We noticed itching during the night and woke up with several bites. After returning home, more bites appeared, confirming the issue. I called the front desk and spoke with multiple staff members before reaching the manager, Kaitlyn. She mentioned that the hotel had been fumigated a few months prior but claimed there were no known current issues, and implied that another guest must have brought them in. Regardless of how they got there, the presence of bed bugs is completely unacceptable and extremely concerning for any hotel stay -- especially at a well-known chain like Holiday Inn Express. We will not be returning, and I strongly urge future guests to read past and recent reviews on this hotel and inspect rooms carefully before booking.

I’ve stayed at the Holiday Inn in Asheville during several business trips, and it turned out to be a reliable and comfortable choice. It made getting to meetings and finding local dining options very manageable. Room & Amenities: The room was clean, comfortable, and well-kept. The bed made for a restful night’s sleep, and the Wi-Fi was reliable for catching up on work. I also appreciated the in-room coffee maker, which came in handy on busy mornings. Service: Staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the team offered good suggestions for nearby restaurants and coffee shops since there isn’t an on-site dining option. Business Travel Notes: Parking was easy, and the hotel was quiet at night—perfect after long workdays. The property offered a good balance of practicality and comfort for a business traveler. Overall: While the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, its location makes it easy to find great local dining nearby. I’d recommend it for anyone visiting Asheville on business who values a clean, comfortable stay with helpful service.

Had a lovely 1 night stay here. The bed was so so comfortable! Very nice breakfast spread. I loved the complimentary Dove shampoos and soaps. Definitely exceeded my expectations!
