Ramada by Wyndham Coquitlam

Nothing. It was all disgraceful.

First, it was not clean. There was mould, silverfish and other bugs. We had A 2-day reservation: - First room - we declined due to stains on the bed cover - Second room - we accepted but a man I the room above was wailing ina. Drug induced something all night.We didn't sleep. Mignt. didn't help. - Stayed for the second night because the staff said we could get the first night for free and a better room for night 2. - moved to room 119. It is an adjoining room. You will hear everything. My 14.year old got to hear our neighbours sexual encounters - loud and clear. In the end: - Though we were promised a free night, the manager only gave us 25% off the first night (drug screamers). We had to check out quickly to go to a scheduled event so the front desk person said I could contact the manager directly via telephone. - when I did he said my payin6g at check out signified I accepted the 25% discount. He offer no further compensation for either night in his horrible establishment. Oh! We had no toilet paper so I had to go to the front desk to sign some out. I'm not kidding. Thus is the hotel Ramada Wyndham forgot. Close it down. Pleases. Don't stay here.

I was disappointed. Did not enjoy the hotel room at all.

The room was dated, definitely needs upgrades. Could not believe the carpeting and the colour combinations. Internet so slow I couldn’t open apps. I used the data in my phone plan. I am disabled and was travelling for several hours to come down for a hospital appointment, I asked that we be allowed to have an early check in at 2 pm. I was texted by whom or what I don’t know…it must have been AI or automated. The text said, to check in an hour early would cost an extra $50. If I requested 2 pm it would be an additional $80 dollars. I have never stayed at a hotel that did this!! I was shocked and texted back that the fees were incredibly expensive and I would not be booking with this chain ever again. The chat went silent and there was more questions but no answers. We went out for dinner for a few hours then returned to the hotel. The room was quite cold, so I turned the heat up. Why wasn’t this done before we arrived. I don’t do well in the cold. I got ready to have a bath… But the tub was not clean. There was black mould in several places and you could see caulking built up over and over to try and cover up the discolouration. I wouldn’t have a shower in that mess, let alone a bath. I was quite disgusted. I have serious issues with my spine, the bed needs a new mattress. Lots of lumps and bumps, I was awake so many times and had a really rough night. The bed I require at least medium /firm. This was my first and last time going to Ramada. This is Canada, not India or China or any other country. We have standards in Canada. I am tempted to report this to the health department. I did take pictures of the bathroom problems. . One of your survey questions, was how was your view. Are you kidding? There was wood pilings out our window and a view of nothing. No shrubs or flowers to spruce it up. Room 132…. Needs to be gutted and renovated. My guess is the whole building needs upgrades or you won’t survive.
