Great Hotel

I was really looking forward to my stay at the Lotte Hotel Seoul Executive Tower, especially since it's marketed as the flagship property of the Lotte Hotel brand. Unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of disappointing, and I left feeling like I'd made a major mistake in choosing this hotel. First impressions were far from impressive. Upon arrival, the staff greeted me with a cold, almost robotic demeanor that made me feel like I was just another check-in to be processed. The lack of warmth and hospitality was evident throughout my stay, which, frankly, was unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed caliber. Every interaction with the staff felt rushed, impersonal, and at times, even borderline aggressive. When I checked in, I was told I’d been upgraded to a “room with a view.” Well, let’s just say the "view" was a helipad. That’s not exactly what I had in mind when I pictured a skyline view of Seoul. If I'd been on the other side of the building, maybe I would have had a better view—but why should I settle for that when I’m paying top dollar for what’s supposed to be an executive experience? The room itself was another letdown. It was small, dated, and lacked the luxurious touches you'd expect at a premium hotel. The furniture was stained and showed signs of wear, which is frankly inexcusable for a hotel at this price point. And don’t even get me started on the list of rules and charges for almost everything in the room—other than the soap and shampoo, everything had a price tag attached, which made the whole experience feel more transactional than indulgent. One thing that particularly stood out was the lack of turndown service. It’s such a basic yet thoughtful touch that even mid-range hotels typically offer, but Lotte somehow failed to provide it. I even called ahead to request it and was told someone would come up—no one ever did. It was a glaring oversight, especially considering how much I was paying. There was also this baffling note about turndown service being available only between 4 PM and 6 PM, but that seemed to depend on your check-in time, which just added another layer of confusion to the whole experience. I’ll give credit where it's due—the hotel’s gym was impressive. Spacious, well-equipped, and comparable to a full-fledged health club. But once again, the experience was marred by the rules. The staff watched me like a hawk, and it wasn’t exactly the kind of environment I wanted while trying to get in a workout. The same surveillance vibe extended to the pool and spa area, where I felt less like a guest and more like I was being monitored every step of the way. At the end of the day, this stay was a major disappointment. For a flagship property, the Lotte Hotel Seoul Executive Tower failed to deliver on nearly every front. The service was mechanical, the room was underwhelming, and the lack of attention to detail was frustrating. Frankly, for the price I paid, I expected far more. If you’re after a truly luxurious experience, do yourself a favor and head to the Four Seasons, which is just a short walk away. That’s where I’ll be staying next time, for sure.

Luxurious, spacious and good location.

It was more expensive than other hotels around Seoul and myeongdong, but the service is really high. Bell boy and staff manning thr lobby will run to you to help with your luggage and bring you to the lift lobby. Speak good English.we stayed at the Grand Deluxe double twin room at the Executive Tower. It is much more expensive than the main tower. Took the KAL limousine bus from Inchoen airport, which stopped right at the front of the hotel. Check-in is on the 16th floor . We got a room on the 27th. It was great with a partial view of Namsam Mountain. The room comes with 2 bottles of Evian water daily, and it is cleaned. Bed is ok, just that pillows are a bit soft. Myeongdong shopping street is about 7 mins walk from the hotels with lots of restaurants. The location is good. We walk practically everywhere. The hotel is connected to the Lotte Department store and the Euljiro (1) station. Just note that the Department store closes at 830pm. We are pleased that we stayed at this hotel and I will stay here again if I visit Seoul again.

Executive Tower (formerly named The New Wing) is smaller than the Main Tower but a little nicer and slightly more expensive. Definitely quieter than the Main Tower. Check in lobby for Executive Tower is on 15F. Our family booked 3 Premier Rooms for five nights and never had to share the elevator with anyone else during our whole stay. And this was during Christmas season. The Premier Rooms were bigger than Deluxe Rooms we previously stayed in and was worth the upcharge. Kids had the room with 2 beds--the room with 2 bed was slightly larger than the 1 bed rooms. Also the kids room had street view (city view) which was nice. Rooms with 1 bed absolutely had no view (faced a windowless building, which I think was one of the side walls of the Lotte Mall. Absolutely no view to speak of. Cost of 2 beds and 1 bed rooms were identical but I say go for the 2 beds if you want a view and more space. Bathrooms are nice. All the toilets have automatic flush washlets--just walk away and it auto flushes. Waterfall showers have good pressure. Large bath tub. We didn't book the lounge access rooms as we prefer the breakfast on 1F at La Seine. Make sure to prepay for breakfast when booking rooms. It's worth it. Serves my favorite hotel breakfast in Seoul--and probably the best. Book here if you want an excellent service and great experience overall. I don't think there's a Korean hotel that has better trained professional staff than here at Lotte. Also, you cannot ask for a better location. Just cross a street for access to Myeong-Dong for shopping and street food. Namdaemun market is not too far off. Even a hike to Seoul Tower up the mountain is all walkable. And through the Main Tower's lobby, you can go downstairs to access the mall and subway station without going outside. It's really convenient. The spa is nice. We had to pay a little charge for access but for the cold plunge, it was worth it. Spa area was very quiet when I visited, Pools, spa and restaurants are all on the Main Tower, so you have to walk through 1F lobby to Main Tower's elevators for access. Which further makes the Executive Tower quieter and less crowded, which I prefer.

We truly liked everything about Lotte Executive tower. The location was the best, great room, nice staff.

Great hotel.

I booked the premium executive tower room which on the website says that it has a “fantastic view of downtown Seoul”. In reality what I got was a view of a wall with a bunch of rundown AC units on the side of the building. I wanted to end my trip to Seoul on a highlight and this was what I got. I think the hotel shouldn’t be advertising a fantastic view if this is one of the rooms I’d be placed into. I felt cheated and quite angry so the hotel allowed me to change rooms for an upcharge the next day. They should’ve just given it to me for free now that I look back to my original booking which said “fantastic view”. I hope the hotel can contact me and arrange a return credit or at least some form of apology

This hotel is walkable to popular Myeongdong area and is right near the subway station so it's easy to get around.
