Hotel Virginia Santa Barbara, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

The only problem I found with my room was the bathroom mirror was dirty. Everything else was very clean.

The hotel is fairly small and without a pool. My parents room’s switch was completely broken and unfixable the whole time so the staff had to cut off the electricity of that room to turn the lights off, really bad maintenance.

Perfect place to stay at Santa Barbara!

It was an historic building close to downtown and beds were nice

There was no character. The staff was really hard to find. All there was was a small bar at lobby. Breakfast and food options poor. Coffee in room undrinkable.

We had stayed at this hotel before and absolutely loved it as we were in the main building. I had called ahead at about 2:30 to see if an earlier check in was possible and then we would go straight to the hotel, but the person who I spoke to on the phone wouldn’t tell me if the room was available. She kept saying that she didn’t know if it would be available when we arrived and to just come to the hotel and check. I explained that it was fine if it wasn’t ready yet and we could go elsewhere before checking in, but just wanted to drop off our stuff if it was ready and she seemed frustrated by my question. She later said it wasn’t ready yet, which was fine, so we went and met up with family and came to check into the hotel after 4 pm. We were placed in a street-level room that was off to the side of the entrance. Although the room itself was clean and fine, it was extremely noisy with all of the cars and pedestrian street traffic (due to 4th of July). I think if we hadn’t stayed there before (as we were previously on the second floor of the main building), then the noise would’ve been less annoying, but because we had such a lovely stay the first time and the noise difference was significant then the experience was a bit disappointing. That being said, the room itself was lovely!

Beautiful hotel - friendly staff and super clean. Close to restaurants, shops and the beach!
