Holiday Inn Express Scottsburg by IHG

The staff was friendly & polite and the rooms were clean & comfortable. My 83 year old mother & I stayed there on our way to Valparaiso, to visit family, and then again on the trip back home. Breakfast area was clean and well stocked. We will definitely plan on making this our go-to place to stay when we make this trip anytime in the future.

I made an error on line and was so nervous because my husband and son, daughter and law,and 2 grandchildren were traveling with us. The representative at the desk was SO HELPFUL, patient and understanding!!! His name is CODY—what a gem, so friendly and wanted to help in any he could. He went over backwards to help us even though hotel was almost completely booked. What a professional Cody is and we are so grateful for his assistance. Hotel is nice!! Very clean thank you very much and Cody was an absolute pleasure to work with!!!!!

Everything was great! They have a wonderful breakfast selection in morning also.

Hotel was very nice when we arrived, clean and well kept. Check in staff was great. Pool is small but clean. Issue was when power went out at 6am. No communication from staffing about what the issue was or when it would get fixed. Other business's next door had power. Was a hot morning so we had to wake up and check out early because our third floor room was super hot. They still served breakfast but it was packed due to everyone leaving their rooms to try and stay cool. No apology or apparent concern from morning staff of the outage. Though I’m sure they were busy.

My husband and I were traveling with our daughter and grandsons (2 rooms). This is an older hotel, think stucco walls in your room. Our room was spotless, and was prepared for us by Brandon on the Housekeeping team. Gold star Brandon! Our room was fine, slightly dated. Another clothes hook in the bathroom would be nice. they use Dove products: Lotion/Hand soap/Shampoo/Conditioner/Body Wash (personally, I love Dove Products). There is one elevator. There is a bench outside the front entrance. We didn't use the pool but a bunch of people were swimming so it must be nice. During the week breakfast is at 6, weekends at 7 - we had to leave before breakfast time, so I can't comment on that.

The staff members at the front desk were nice, efficient, and helpful. They made check-in smooth, which really set the tone for a good experience.

Cheyenne kept my room in great shape for the whole week that I stayed. I enjoyed my stay here would recommend. A lot of places to eat within walking distance.

Absolutely wonderful. I am a former GM and it's been as if i stayed in one of our hotels. So comfortable and relaxing. Very very clean. Beds comfortable and made to perfectly. Thank you.
