Wingate by Wyndham Los Alamos

Right on the Main Street through Los Alamos. Seems to be undergoing some renovation. Clean.

I loved the location. It is virtually across the road from Bathtub Row, where Oppenheimer lived. This is a quiet, serious city, it's not party town.

There was construction going on but nothing disturbing. The young lady and young man at the front desk were amazing. Rooms were clean and very modern. I would definitely stay again if I was in the area!

Absolutely terrible overpriced hotel.

Bag of trash at the entrance was all over and animals were into it. I mentioned it to the front desk and it was still there the next morning and incoming front desk person just walked by it. Hotel is being renovated and there was no mention of this when booking. Breakfast was great and bed comfortable.

The Wingate Los Alamos was booked through the United.com hotels website and it was Terrible. At check-in before we saw the condition of the hotel we were billed for 3 nights stay—-what we had planned. But when we entered the elevator after we saw some disconcerting signs—-holes i n the elevator panels. When we arrived at our floor we were greeted with a large scale construction project with all the dust and smell associated with it. I immediately expressed concern with the desk and told them we were likely checking out early and complained there was no notation of the project on their website or United Hotels. The Wingate refused to refund our 3rd night stay because that was there policy and United Hotels offered little assistance. WE told them at a minimum this hotel should be delisted from their website. Since we are Wyndham Rewards members they will be the next recipient of our treatment.

There were a few positives, the flavored water, and the muffins. The downside was cold eggs and bacon. Awful coffee beds were mushy floors were dirty. Loose tiles in the bathroom. The only recommendation I would make is somebody build another hotel in the area as they could make good money. Incredible that we paid that much for a room and got so little.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room was nice and it was very close to Manhattan Project museums.
