the staff was nice

the upkeep on the hotel is horrible. The front door was warped at the bottom as though it had been in a flood. The laminate was peeling off the core of the door. The shower was semi-clean but the caulk in the corners was dirty. Basically, they have spent no money on upkeep. The location is horrible in comparison to all the other limited service hotels in Raton. At least they have some proximity to somewhere to eat (admittedly, that is limited to Arby's, McDonalds, etc.). HOwever, they were 2 miles away and the only thing close to this hotel is the Tractor Supply store.
