We pulled off at the Red Roof Inn at Holton after the weather started changing and travel became difficult. We did not get to stay under the actual Red Roof but were given a room across the parking lot in what looked liked an abandoned old hotel. The thermostat was set at about 55 degrees, there were dead bugs on the floor, a cigarette burn in the comforter, the tv had in and out reception - and it just overall was not real great. But - we were grateful to be off the bad roads - so that was a plus. IF you choose stay there I would recommend that you make sure your room is actually in the main building. That side hotel could use a lot of work.
Beds are old and worn. Worst part was the fact that there was no hot water and when we told them about it all that was said to us was Sorry sir.
Rude Indian lady! Room smells, sheets not clean & bed are very uncomfortable!! the gentleman man & his nephews were really nice, that was the only thing good about this place! I will not stay here again but didn’t have the choice because all room were booked near my destination!
The staff was friendly and even told us where to park to make it easier for us to get to our room.
Telephone was down television was horrible barely working. The smell was awful.
Bathroom was dirty dead bugs in the corners, VERY limited hot water, wifi almost never worked. Computers was down so paid cash, on the way home i got a notification that $67 had been paid to Red Roof Inn off my card. Called them still waiting for them to refund my money.
This is a great place for the value… Front desk was nice enough & were clean. We were very pleased with our stay. I was apprehensive from the reviews… But I'm glad we decided to book the red roof. I would definitely book again.
It wasn’t horrible but the room could have used some more cleaning the floor was dirty, the blankets had some stains, the pillow cases had long strands of hair on them..the room smelled bad..just bought some air freshener and my own blanket..but it was cheap and served it’s purpose and the only staff I encountered was the check in clerk and he was very friendly.

This hotel is NOT AS ADVERTISED! The attractive looking breakfast area does not exist. The "breakfast" is a single pot of coffee. The advertised breakfast was one of the reasons I chose this hotel over another option. Then I decide to just grab something out of the vending machine before departing - WRONG. The vending machine was empty, and the soda machine not functioning either. I could have done laundry, but WRONG AGAIN! Neither machine was in working order. The "white" washcloths in the room were grey in the middle, and did not look clean. The pillows smelled like old sweat. However, the crowning achievement of all disappointments in this place was the dried feces on the blanket, which I found when I felt something "scratchy" on my leg during the night.
