Red Roof Inn Detroit-Rochester Hills/ Auburn Hills

I did not like much the room linens and bedding were so dirty that I went to Walmart and bought myself pillows and blanket

I booked through Expedia and because my flight was delayed till the next day the Red Roof in staff REFUSED to change my check-in date to the next day and considered it a cancellation simply for the fact that there was “no manager on duty,” which also a terrible business aspect of this business to not have a manager available in some way to deal with these kinds of situations. Overall, terrible customer service experience from the front desk, customer service, and guest services. I lost money because of the terrible and inadequate customer service relatability of this business. I never received a call from the manager the following day when I asked guest services to specifically notate that in their email on the complaint I filed. I will never book with this company again and will continue to share my feedback with others that ask about the Red Roof inn. Thank you for a terrible experience.

Pathetic at best. Loud, tons of pot smoking. McDonald's is constantly busy and loud. Too many people working here and living here. Poorly managed. Matt, Anthony, and Austin are worthless and non existent when you go to the lobby. Chick in 1i8 who works at the hotel as houskeeping does not pick up after her 2 dogs and I have pics of the male dog pissing on my door. She is constantly in the lobby doing nothing and no work. Did Anthony, Matt, and Austin do anything about it? No. I urger you to find another place to stay becaus this is just a PIT!

Floor, toilet, bedside table and bedding hadn't been cleaned before I stayed. Sink was cracked. Neighbors were noisy.

At check-in, we were surprised to learn that they require a deposit of $50 CASH ONLY. Checking in staff was rude and hinted that we probably have never stayed at hotels to know cash deposits are common and expected in USA! We had no cash with us! There were mosquitos everywhere. People smoking pots till late night next door caused major inconvenience for us. Only positive side is that the rooms were reasonably clean.

Our stay was okay. Neither exceptional nor terrible. The hotel provided the basics, bed and bathroom for the night. Service was adequate, and the overall experience was average.
