Red Roof Inn Chapel Hill - UNC

I liked the desk space in the king room. I was able to get hours of work done, and it was super convenient.

This hotel met the bare minimum as far as cleanliness.

The property was in a convenient location to Chapel hill. The beds were amazing! I slept so good and they are very comfortable. Shower temperature was great and nice size tv. Plus I had no noise issues. Very quiet

My shower even with the curtain inside the tube, water would still get onto the floor. But it isn’t a factor that would stop me from booking again

The staff is always kind and helpful. The location is a little loud and can get rowdy on the weekends as can any vacation area. The rooms are clean and well stocked with essentials. Location is close to food and shopping, and easy to get to.

While the room was clean and the staff helpful, the property itself could use a good power washing in the stairwells and walkways. Windows and glass doors in office needed cleaning. The bed was comfortable.

When I arrived, there was nobody at the front desk. It took quite a while to check in, and I had to do it through a tiny little window. When I was leaving, there was again nobody at the front desk and nobody answered the bell. I was unable to get a cup of coffee. This will never be my first choice of a place to stay.

The manager on duty was great! I really appreciated the help he provided. Pleasant stay, thank you.

Air conditioning was NOT perfect!

The hotel was extremely dirty and had a bad smell. There were many addicts staying there. The hotel charged for laundry and drying, but even after paying for three drying cycles—each 40 minutes—the clothes were still not dry. I left some items I bought at the supermarket at the front desk, and a set of bed sheets along with a set of three boxes of disinfectant wipes were stolen. I reported this to the hotel, but they ignored me and did nothing to resolve it. It was an absolutely terrible experience
