This hotel was in the middle of a remodel. I have no doubt it will be much better when the renovation is complete. I stayed in the old wing and my review reflects the pre remodel phase.

I recently stayed at a Motel 6, in Chicopee Ma. On the way home I stopped and stayed at a Motel 6 in Rocky Mount NC. A world of difference. The motel in Chicopee appears to have been remodeled and was nicely maintained. The Rocky Mount Motel 6 is in dire need of a paint job and some serious cleaning. They sometimes say it's the small things that matter, well in this motel it didn't appear to matter to management. I was surprised to see they didn't put complimentary shampoos or conditioners in the rooms . They sold it from behind the front desk. The bathroom door only opened about a foot and a half. It also didn't close or lock . Chairs were the most uncomfortable I've ever used . The WIFI wouldn't work, so I asked the front desk, who seemed to be having trouble with it earlier in the day, to check . It came on about an hour later. It kept dropping out all evening. So it wasn't much use. There were obvious burn holes in the comforter on the bed , more than a few. One ice machine worked in the building, It was down the hall from the front desk. If this place wants to succeed, it needs to understand how to generate repeat business. They need to learn, the little things matter. Really, what does a tiny bottle of shampoo cost them ? Don't get me wrong I had some in my bag from other hotels , so I got by just fine. But really, you're that cheap, to skimp on a standard ?

Overall it was a decent experience, area did smell like pot, and the key would not work right.

Property was dirty .and filthy . Most of it was gutted out which they didnt mention at all during checkin. It really gaves bates motel vibes. I left for another hotel . I couldnt stay here

I like how the big the king size bed was and it was well detailed for the most part, the room also included a table with two chairs in case someone wanted to work on their laptop for any type of work. And the bathroom was pretty well cleaned as well.

Only thing I didn’t like was the fact I had to kill to water bugs crawling around in the room.
