Red Roof Inn Harrisburg - Hershey

Location was great

I reserved the room in Jan. 2025 and requested a 1st floor because of my handicap. They put me on the 2nd floor with no elevator.After entering the room within 5 min. we killed a cockroach. The beds sounded like the springs were about to poke through.

The room was okay l, the beds need replaced and so does the pillows. Drug heads at all hours making noise along with 20 kids just sitting in the hallways. Smell of weed and smoke along with broken glass and nails in parking lot. Trash and cigarette butts everywhere. Food on floors in hallways. Definitely Not cleanned or maintained. But for a 1 night trip it will do.... check for roaches.... no pride.

This is seriously one of the worst motels I've ever stayed in. I was deployed in Iraq and honestly I felt safer sleeping there than I did in this hotel for a night. I had to go to several rooms to find one I felt comfortable sleeping in. The 1st room I looked at literally had stains on the cover spread, sheets, and a giant stab mark in the chair. The 2nd room was no better with roaches crawling in the bathtub. I went to the front desk with both and they moved me to what they consider "a good room". This "upgrade" got me a room where the security latch was broken and stains under the bed cover. Stains in the shower, stain, shower, curtains, and roaches that only came out at night. The hallways were dimly lit, Had trash piled up in them, and no sense to safety or security at all. If you read the reviews, the staff at this location keeps saying thank you for letting us know. We’re working on it or we’re making improvements. But clearly none of those comments have caused them to do anything about it. I don’t think it’s too much to ask that hotel motel whatever have clean sheets. This seems like the minimum requirement for being open to the public. I’d prefer not to get platitudes from the hotel management and would actually like either money or back or them to close so that nobody else has to waste their money there.

Convenient location for where we were going , General condition given the nature of the hotel business means the rooms get a lot of use so need constant upgrades

The lock was broken and there was a roach at check in and the room was just not clean and the building had broken windows and mold in my ac I was not happy at all I would rather get a refund

The staff were very helpful and responsive. The facilities were clean and well. well maintained.

There was not enough ground to Walk the dogs on.

Awful hotel. Rooms were full of cockroaches everywhere. I asked to be switched of room and they switched me to another room full with cockroaches. I approached the front desk and told them I couldn’t stay there w my kids and they promised me a refund and never fulfilled their word. Worst place ever

Unfortunately I have nothing good to say. From start to finish...dirty, door didn't lock, towel was black n one had makeup on it, bed was not safe, microwave disgusting, shower had wads of hair on wall, and br door broken. Needless to say, we will not be recommending or staying at any Red Roof again. Not to be critical just sharing facts. Hotels in Calcutta are cleaner and in better repair, I'm told.
