Rimrock Banff, Emblems Collection

The Rimrock is a premium-priced 5-star hotel in a beautiful mountainside setting. The hotel was built in the early 1990s and is starting to show its age. The hotel will be closing later in 2025 for renovations. The guest room we stayed in was an amazing 2 room suite with valley views. For special events like anniversaries and birthdays, it’s worth it to stay at the Rimrock.

The views, the location. We liked that it was a bit out of the main area & very close to the gondola.

The only downfall was we had a big Tree blocking our view- but it was the room we booked!

We did not like the on-site restaurants.

We absolutely loved the breathtaking mountain views. The location was stunning and made for an incredible backdrop to our trip.

Unfortunately, several things missed the mark for us: * Amenities: The pool was pretty small, and the jacuzzi didn't really feel relaxing—it just seemed to circulate water. * Room Condition: Our room itself felt a bit worn out. * Getting Around: Relying on the overcrowded transit bus with no seats was challenging and walking to downtown Banff wasn't an option because there were no sidewalks, making it unsafe. * Service: The experience was mixed; some were great, but others weren't very engaging. * Dining: The hotel restaurant prices were steep, especially since there weren't other options nearby, and the menu was limited.

Beautiful setting in the Rocky Mtns; clean room; excellent staff. I would book directly with hotel.
