Best Western Brentwood Inn

Check in was a nightmare - booked through Hotels.com but even though had confirmation said only 1 night and it was paid for 2 - took over 40 min to check in & get error situated. Felt unsafe in side parking areas where you are to park - both nights men hanging out around cars. Not well lit. Not the cleanest.

Clean and quiet

Person checking us in had a difficult time focusing. No hair dryer in room. Noisy. Heard doors slamming all night. Free breakfast was pointless. Coffee lukewarm and very weak. Staff was not helpful when alerted to issues. Poor value and not able to sleep

Everything was fine, but the only problem was the pool, was so dirty. No one can go in, it's so sad because the hotel in general was so perfect. This isn't a negative review in my humble opinion, hope in the future they fix this.

Comfy ved, clean room, but it smelled like smoke. We were too tired after the wedding to ask about switching rooms.

What a dump! This was the worst experience at a hotel I have ever had. The first room they put us in had a white folded kitchen trash bag taped over the toilet tank because the top cover was missing. The air conditioner did not work. When we asked to be moved, they graciously moved us to the room next door that also did not have a working air conditioner. The bathroom shower leaked and flooded the bathroom floor. Our room was not serviced so they did not see the flooding or the sopping wet towels on the floor used to soak up the water on the floor. When we returned to our room and found the mess untouched, we again went to the front desk and were told there was no cleaning crew available to service the room but they could give us additional towels to clean up the mess ourselves. I could not get out of this VERY substandard hotel fast enough. After much discussion with the front desk person who could not make a decision on her own, called the General Manager who agreed to just charge us for the one nightmarish night we stayed there. They would not produce a receipt for me or give me anything in writing stating that I would not be charged for the other nights we had reserved. We went to the hotel next door where the rooms were clean, service was fabulous and the rooms were serviced every day.

The room was very comfortable and I appreciate the new furnishings. The movable side table and the foot stool were a perfect addition to the room.

There was no one at the counter when we tried checking in at 9pm; no bell at all. We had to yell for someone to come out. Also, there wasn’t anyone when we needed to check out. The property also needs to be updated as far as its decoration. There was mold on the walls. The first room we were assigned stunk like smoke so we requested another room. The 2nd room was better but was next to the elevator so it was crazy noisy. People were loud coming out of the elevator and slammed their doors. I will definitely not stay in this property again.

Told I had to book queen bed rooms to have adjoining rooms (more expensive for queen vs king) then they said no adjoining available . Had to call front desk 3 times to have them quiet Nextdoor tv at 1am. Had to use my cell phone as in room phone didn’t work. Best Western should be ashamed of this property.
