Candlewood Suites San Diego by IHG

Location to San Diego State, beaches, Old Town and places to shop/eat.

Parking spaces are small. It was difficult to park my Ram truck.

There was no breakfast at this facility. The location was easy to find.

The noise we heard from approximately 7:30 p.m. until midnight and then from 6a.m. until 10a.m. It was high pitched and we did let the receptionist know. He came and heard the noise himself. He called the manager and the manager stated " people will not take showers all night." Implying it was the pipes and the once upstairs stopped using water the noise would go away. It didn't. that noise would happen in increments and was very annoying. We stayed there for 3 nights and 4 days. The only compensation was to take off one night of parking. Not a good response to inconvenient nights and mornings.

I was amazed at how spacious the room was. It has a lot of room, loved the fact that it had a little kitchen area. Staff was pretty friendly. Definitely will go back to this hotel next time I visit San Diego. 10/10

Bathroom needed updating. Kitchen area had no counter space due to broken above stove microwave. Portable microwave took up countet space. Air conditioner was on opposite side of room and bately reached bedroom. No door or curtain separating bedroom to living area. Watet pressure in the shower was low. Closet needed a door. Cupboard area to get essentials was bare of food and drinks.I have stayed in other Candlewood Suites and this place was disappointing. It was, however, a great location for getting to sightseeing areas and front desk staff friendly.
