We checked in late Friday night & left Sunday. We stay every year for a kayak event since 2019. The evening receptionist was fantastic. The check out person on Sunday was petty and unprofessional.

Clean hotel inside & out. Nice workout room and great indoor pool. Breakfast was good and there’s a McDonald’s, Cracker Barrel, and Hardee’s right outside the door—you can literally just walk across the parking lot. Friendly staff. Very near the Hoosier Horse Park. If you want to shop, great news…the hotel is right in front of a huge factory outlet mall. Again, you can literally walk. Ship, have a salad at Ruby Tuesday, and swim. Never move your car! The door to our room needs adjusting. It kept sticking and was hard to open. The vanity on the bathroom is too small. But overall, nice stay.

The location was excellent for what we needed, very easy access to the highway. There was shopping very close, although it was not really why we were there or on our to-do list. Some fast food and a couple of sit down restaurants very accessible. This was a nice clean hotel. There was a walk-in shower, none of the silly step-into-a-bathtub stuff. The beds were comfortable and surprisingly so were the pillows. Every other hotel I have stayed in provided bedpillows that were too thick for my comfort. There was actually a choice here with some thick and some flatter. We had complimentary use of a roll away bed for our 13-year old who was with us. The pool was clean. The breakfast room was spacious and had a nice banquette on one side. We stayed in a first-floor room and there was easy access to vending and ice. Chilled lemon water in the lobby.

The breakfast was disappointing as it was missing the scrambled eggs and sausage I am accustomed to finding when breakfast is included, and breakfast is a prerequisite when I look for lodging. This is not really the fault of the hotel, but there were several families with boys in their tweens or early teens staying over for baseball tournaments. They were inconsiderate, allowing the boys to take over the swimming pool, and while throwing a football nearly hit our 11 year old daughter, all while being very loud in the pool room with echoing acoustics. These parents allowed the boys to slam doors and loiter in the hallway too early in the morning, being much too loud. I understand this is a complicated situation for hotel management but given the early hour I would have appreciated it if the manager had asked the offenders to lower their voices. Perhaps if one or more of those guests are leaving a review and read this one they will be a little more considerate during their next stay, wherever that may be.
