SureStay by Best Western Grayson

Making a long(er) story short: On 10/30/2025, I was staying at the SureStay Best Western in Grayson, KY, when a female employee and unidentified male attempted to enter my room at 11:30pm (under the guise of “checking rooms.”) Had I not had the safety catch slipped over, they would have succeeded. It was terrifying, and I did not sleep the rest of the night. I later discovered the employee has a varied criminal history - with an arrest as recent as 10/03/2025. To make matters worse, despite multiple attempts at contact, the hotel has refused to deal with the issue (aside from a $25 credit to my bill - with no conversation beforehand). I’ve contacted Best Western Corporate. They continue to give the hotel time to respond. So after two weeks of trying to make sure this is handled and does not happen to anybody else, I thought I could at least do my part to spread the word to other travelers that Best Western does not consider customer safety a concern, let alone a priority.

Clean and comfortable

No elevator.

Tub was cracked , sink was cracked, black hairs in the tub and brown drips in the outside of tub, had to clean before we used it, chips in toilet seat. Mattress not the best. Pool had broken toys at the bottom that were sharp.

It was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful.

We loved everything.

Didn't like the fact that they don't except cash anymore.

It was nice until we came back the second day and the room smelled like cigarette smoke. My suitcase still smells like cigarettes
