Minor quibbles about equipment.

A couple of things: water pressure in the bathroom is very week and the wifi does not reach the furthest room near the bathroom. On top of that, you have to give a deposit for the house, by credit card (which is a regular procedure sure). The issue is that you know nothing about this when you book and you only learn all the conditions afterwards. On top of that, the deposit is very high and was more than 30% of what we paid for the apartment, which is unjustified. The worst part is that it takes a long time to get the deposit back; our check out was on April 23rd and we got the deposit back on May 3rd. I contacted them to try and speed up the process and I got a reply advising me to liaise with my bank. It does not make sense; since they hadn’t fully released my funds yet, the bank couldn’t do anything. Summing up, you end up having to provide a super high deposit and you’ll then need to wait for a long time to get it back. Not worth it

The apartment is pretty run down. Walls scuffed and scratched, dining table damaged, poor cleanliness standard. Kettle, toaster and clothes airer all rusty, poor quality bedding and stained pillows, mattresses not comfortable. It was 4 of us staying and we got 2 loo rolls for 4 people for 4 days, no toiletries provided at all and also the hand soap in the bathroom is diluted with water so once you press the pump you get soapy water all over yourself! Kitchen equipped with dishwasher, and bathroom with washer & dryer, however do not expect any laundry or dishwashing tablets. we got 2 dishwasher tablets for 4 people for 4 days- not ideal when you book a property with “fully equipped ” kitchen. Pots and pans dirty and disgusting to use. Hole in tea towel, cockroaches in the kitchen. Property mentions coffee maker but all is available to use is a rusty old kettle. We wanted to use the air-con but the batteries inside one of the remotes have leaked white crystals- which is very harmful if in contact with skin you could get a chemical burn. I wish I was told about 250€ deposit when booked the property couple months ago- this was not mentioned in the welcome message the property sent. I got told about credit card deposit 2 days before our stay and did not want to loose money canceling the booking and looking for another one. Have no problems with paying deposits for nice places but it should have been communicated straight after booking the property- in the welcome message where all rules and policies are listed. Just seems a bit dodgy. All in all, I am not sure what the damage deposit is for as the place is pretty run down and not up-kept to the standard hosts are describing. Hole in tea towel, cockroaches, no toiletries, rusty/ damaged things. not enough loo roll and some other things. I would not stay here again and would not recommend, unless you are really not bothered by the facilities.
