Misfah Old House

We were offered dates and tee on arrival. The house and room was something special and felt very authentic. Green oases and nice view. Tasty dinner and breakfast. The bathroom was shared es mentioned but was clean.

The hotel is not close to any road or parking and we did not know the staff would help us carry them to our room.

The old house is in a wonderful setting within the date palms of the village. We were given the choice of a large room with no view or a small room with a balcony and view. Our booking was with a view. I think we were affected by a large tour group which swallowed up our booking. We picked the small room but unfortunately the adjoining room wasn't sound insulated from our room. A huge gap at ceiling height existed. You could hear everything! Management removed the working staff from the adjacent room. We were offered another room for our 2nd night which we accepted.

Dinner, except for a soup offered our 2nd evening, was too western and pretty disappointing. Breakfast okay but nothing special. Expect more for the price.

Beautiful grounds. Even if you don't stay here, spend 45 minutes following the walking trail. The roof-top restaurant is perfect for dinner & breakfast Very nice staff.

Just rather underwhelming. The place is beautiful, and we were led to our room which had lovely, heavy wooden door. However, inside there were basically two mattresses on the floor and a broken hat stand in the corner. It wouldn't take much time or money to improve. A double bed, couple of armchairs, nice lamp, some pictures on the wall and a good clean! It just feels that the owner can't be bothered. The buildings and Misfah itself are magical but the owner seems to feel that this is enough. Dinner and breakfast were fine, but again lacking anything special.

It's a bit hard to reach by foot if you have big luggage but staff will help you. Park on the road but if the village is crowded, you might not find space and you have to park 500mt far

Das Misfah Old House ist eine wirklich traditionelle omanische Unterkunft. Absolut authentisch in toller Umgebung. Das Essen war lecker.
