Super 8 by Wyndham Gettysburg

The actual property itself was great. It was clean the breakfast area and 24 hour. Coffee was great. The staff was very good. The problem lies with. I guess you could call it. The construction of the building. The soundproofing does not exist. We were on the first floor at the end of one of the hallways and all you could hear was people walking over our heads. The rooms next to us were noisy and it was just normal noise I think it was just at the walls and floors are so thin. The other problem was the pool area that noise echoed all the way down the hallways. It’s a shame cause it’s a nice hotel and like I said, the breakfast area was great and the things that were there were wonderful the 24 hour coffee was perfect. It was just the noise and that’s just the construction of how the building is.

breakfast was typical for this type of venue. the fare was good the area was kept clean and supplied well. pool area was clean and well taken care of.

Fire alarms kept on going off in the room while people were taking showers very annoying Sunday morning the main fire alarm went off in the hole building causing a slight Panic be kind of gas but it was a false alarm and I was staying on the first floor people up in a second floor the first night had their kids up half the night running around banging very annoying

I was very happy with this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful and that's important to me. The entire hotel was clean including the outside. The breakfast was good with all the standard offerings.

The only reason this place didn't recieve a higher rating was a few very minor things. There was no clock in the room which was a little annoying since I don't usually keep my phone at my side all the time. I was disappointed they had no Christian channels on the TV even though they had several movie channels. The most annoying issue was this hotel doesn't provide Do Not Disturb signs so the maids come in whether you want them or not. This was irrating since the maid came in and threw away things I had on the dresser to make tea later that evening. I had to go back down stairs to get more supplies. Since there isn't elevators it was frustrating to climb up and down stairs late in the evening after hours of walking durning the day.
