Days Inn by Wyndham Covington

Front desk staff was very helpful check in and out.

The staff, when we could find them, were nice. The room had been updated and looked nice at first glance. It was “lipstick on a pig” as we started noticing the broken bed frame, dusty and rusting air returns, broken tub drain. There was no shampoo or body wash in the affixed pumps, so I was already in the shower before realizing. The breakfast was edible but not enjoyable. Coffee was awful. We didn’t see any signs of bugs or pests, though, and that’s our main concern when traveling. We weren’t there long so it was fine for the cost, but our expectations were still let down even given the affordability. The reviews I had diligently read were misleading.

Housekeeping was terrible, and the furniture is old and mixed matching. Could not connect the TV to any streaming providers.

The breakfast was lukewarm and frequently empty. Every morning I needed to ask for items to be replenished.

We hardly slept and even left our trip early. The blow dryer was coming off the wall with wires exposed, the outlet for the blow dryer was burnt, the bottles that were supposed to be attached to the wall one was just sitting on the counter as it had been ripped off, the bathroom door wouldn’t shut and was missing hardware their fix was stuffed toilet paper in the hole, there was a lot of dust and trash behind the fridge which was also dirty, walls were nasty. Definitely not staying at this hotel again.
