Hillwinds Inn - Blowing Rock

It was a little expensive because of graduation weekend, but cheaper than the hotels/motels in Boone. It was in a cute motel in a cute area. They did not serve breakfast, but there is a little breakfast place across the street. I was able to bring my dog and that is a bonus. As I walked my dog in the area, I found a really cute area to explore with a little creek and small fountain. It was a beautiful place.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like. If I had to pick something, I would say the price, but as I said it was cheaper than the others in the area. It was about 5 miles outside of Boone, but I actually liked the peace of getting out of the crowded area.

Clean and conveniently located

This is an older "motel" so it's a bit dated by today's hotel standards. No big deal except that the walls aren't the thickest and so your neighbors can effect your sleep. We had some early birds start their truck at 6:00 am and that's a bit early for me. Still, it was less expensive than the hotels in town so it was worth the stay. Also, I hate marshmallow beds and that's what we got. I wish hotels and motels would consider that not everyone likes squishy matresses.

Location, clean and very nice.

The shower head does not work. It was just a sprinkle and no hot water. That’s the only thing was wrong. It was very cute otherwise and I would have rated it a 10. May just be an issue with room 104.

La ubicación es excelente, a 5 minutos de la calle principal de Blowing Rock. La posada en sí es muy pintoresca y acogedora y pudimos aparcar directamente en la puerta de nuestra habitación lo cual es muy útil para bajar y subir el equipaje del coche. En la habitación había una cafetera y elementos de cortesía para preparar café, incluso con una mesa y sillas donde podíamos relajarnos compartiendo un café o un té después de las caminatas.

Todo estuvo bien.
