Quality Inn Van Horn

Location was great and my “special “ parking spot was great.

All was good

Good: The location of this motel is convenient to the Interstate. The employees at the breakfast area were friendly and helpful, and the tables were clean. The selection of breakfast food was typical. The mattress was comfortable, sheets and blanket clean, and the choice of pillows was nice. The sofa in the King room was a good place to sit and read. The room was lit sufficiently. Bad: The sink and counter area appeared clean, however, the toilet seat was up when we arrived and there was a used towel hanging on the hook on the bathroom door. The bathroom floor had not been properly cleaned - the corners were dirty and there were hairs on the floor and behind the bathroom door. The carpet had not been vacuumed properly, since there were tidbits of white pieces on the floor in places. The baseboards were dusty. The staff needs to use a vacuum crevice tool to clean the edges of the carpet. There was no knob on the shower control, but a person could move the lever on the faucet without the knob.
