Holiday Inn Express - Delafield by IHG

Long overdue review- we've stayed here 6+ times over the past six year. Very nice rooms- quiet, appropriately appointed. Nice sized TVs, comfortable beds, and nicely sized bathrooms. Rooms are clean, and include a fridge and coffee maker. Service is great, small town feel from the staff and very attentive. Free breakfast that is dependable and tasty with plenty of options. Most importantly, the stays are consistent. Plenty of parking, nice rooms, good service, super convenient location if you need to be in central Waukesha county.

Checked in at 4:15 pm and given room next to highway. Asked for room away from hgwy, attendant said no available. She stated one room left and also on roadside of hotel. We made our reservation weeks earlier and still got room next to hgwy. Trucks cars and motorcycles kept us awake numerous times. Rough 2 nights sleeping.

Good location

Hot breakfast was good, location was very convenient for my purposes. Room was very comfortable and well-appointed.

My family and I stayed for 3 nights. On night 1 we get down to the pool/hot tub after hours of driving and need to relax. Unfortunately the hot tub was filled. There were kids playing in the pool, but there were these young adults in the hot tub vaping and drinking despite the signs. I report it to the front desk, because of the children present and she goes, “I am so sorry, those are MY kids and I will tell them to stop.” And then proceeds to close the entire pool. She was there every night following and gave us the worst service ever, including dirty looks every time she saw us. To top it off they were low staffed all weekend and the staff was visibly overwhelmed. The housekeepers did not do their job. We were supposed to have plates, etc. in our suite, there were none. The 2 glasses they did have were dirty when we arrived. We left them out, obvious they need to be changed and they never once were touched or replaced. The signs say to leave towels on the floor of the bathroom to be replaced, we did and housekeeping picked the towels up and put them on the back of the toilet and left them. The breakfast was disappointing. They ran out of things constantly, like pancakes, waffles, milk, bagels, English muffins, and all condiments. The OJ tasted like water, and the scrambled eggs were extremely runny. The pool & hot tub themselves were too small for the sized hotel, and not in the greatest shape. Peeling paint, unfinished tiles, etc. Water looked cloudy and unclean.

Staff was very welcoming and down to earth. Great sense of humor.

Clean and very friendly staff and very accommodating to requests.

Our mini fridge freezer didn’t work so we the fudge bars we bough melted.
