Red Roof Inn Ann Arbor - U of Michigan South

I have stayed at this property several times without incident, which kept me coming back. This time my room had bedbugs, which resulted in having to throw out several hundred dollars worth of clothes and being covered in welts. I won't be returning

Decent, low rent. Terrible shades- either fully open or black out closed, lacks privacy if kept open. You get what you pay for with no thrills, minimal perks.

Friendly staff and nice clean newly-renovated rooms.

The tv remote was not working, the security latch was broken, the queen-size mattress was squeaky just rolling on it and it was indented in the middle making us roll to the middle. It was not comfortable

It was sufficient for the time we were there

If I could give zero stars I could. This was the worst experience ever. We were in town for my husband’s job, which was night shift.We was staying 11 days. 8 days into the stay they bang on the door and tell us we have 30 min to leave the property???. What??? When I call the front desk to see what is going on I’m told I have to leave because I didn’t receive house keeping 4 days earlier.The front desk clerk was extremely rude and had been throughout our entire stay.We were told we were required to accept house keeping. On the day in question we made our self available until after 4pm to accept service. No one ever came. The following day we made our self’s available again and a non-English speaking house keeper exchanged our linens by setting them on the hood of our car(?). While waiting in the parking lot, we tried to ask her to clean she just said “ no,no” and pointed at the liens on our car and walked away. We were fine with the exchange just chalking it up to a weird experience. Then 3 days after the linen/car situation we woke up to a man beating on our door and walked aware. So I call the front desk receptionist to see what is going on. This is where we were informed that we need to vacate the room and we have 25 minutes to do so. She hung up on me after being extremely rude and not willing to hear anything we could say we just quickly threw cloths on and packed our things. I would definitely not recommend staying here especially if you are in town on business. This was a very stressful odd situation.

I have had plenty of stays at the Red Roof Inn. So far this one location has been the cleanest. I could tell that the rooms were in the process of being renovated. Everything looked new and fresh. The bathroom door would stick when closed because of the fresh paint. There were a couple bugs flying around inside but that is to be expected when there is outside entry into a room. Would stay there again. Go Blue!!!

Stay here every year...it is what it is... The bathroom door Rm 109 wouldnt shut but just me and the gf so not a real issue... TV reception was horrible....Could barely watch ESPN . Should be designated parking spots for each room especially bottom floor. But rooms always clean and no real issues with noise etc.
