Travelodge by Wyndham Cape Cod Area

Not much at all.

The room was outdated and smelled musty / moldy. Not a great place if you have allergies, like me. The light fixture was falling off the ceiling in the bathroom, & there were cracks in the wall. The phone by the front door was broken, so I called their phone #. When the guy came to the door, He said why couldn't you just use the phone, like the sign says? So I told him it doesn't work!

The young woman at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. When I booked I had asked for a view of Bass River and they put us up on the 2nd floor. My bad, I quickly realized my Mom would not be able to walk up the stairs without being out of breath, there was no elevator. Also, I was the one carrying everything suitcases, bags and rolling cooler. I went to the front desk and explained there was no way we could walk up the stairs she quickly gave us a room on the lower level. The room was somewhat clean except for a stain on my sheets, it was late so I waited until the next morning and asked the owner if he could have the sheets changed. He was very nice and apologetic, sheets were changed the same day. The freezer was very small and caked in ice, I couldn’t open the door definitely needs to be defrosted, was disappointed in that because we wanted to freeze our water bottles, but made it work. Also, there was a coffeemaker but only one coffee pad for a 4 cup coffeemaker, I drink at least 2 cups and so does my Mom. Went to the front desk and the young woman was happy to give me more coffee pads and said that they make coffee which is available in the morning if we needed more. There was no breakfast which was fine because we brought our own and planned to go out for breakfast. All and all I will say the customer service was spot on as for the rooms they could use a little fixing up. Oh, and trying to use the tv was a nightmare. I would suggest to the motel to include instructions on how to use the TV and how to get local channels.

A well appointed clean room, comfortable bed. Staff is extremely accommodating and I love the pool! Excellent experience.
