Pearl Farm Beach Resort

Beach front was very nice. Lunch and Dinner were very good. Big room and comfortable bed. We liked the infinity pool, ambience in general. is very peaceful and parola bar. Nice details from the staff. We tried the pearl farm massage of 60min and it was very nice. Umbrellas everywhere for the guests Transportation well organized

Breakfasts were ok. Happy hour time of one hour is to short. More advertising of daily beach activities would be nice, i.e paddle surf, snorkeling, water bike etc.

I have been coming to this property for years. In 2012, I brought my daughter. They had a marketing team taking pictures and had taken some of my daughter participating in the water sports. I gave them my permission to do so at the time but was not told how the pictures would be used. When I returned in 2015, her pictures appears on their water sports brochure. Not sure how I felt about not being told how the photos would be used, and did not receive any notice or compensation. I returned again for an overnight visit this October. They were having a buffet on the beach, involving lots of lighted decoration and electric chafing dishes on the buffet. The beach seemed dry. I had wet hair from a shower but my clothes, body and feet were dry. I was barefooted in the sand. I touched the chafing dish to serve myself rice from the Buffett and received a powerful electric shock in which I became immobilized from head to toe. I couldn’t move or speak or let go of the chafing dish. After what was reported as a few seconds, I went unconscious and in doing so pulled the chafing dish off the table as I fell down. I regained consciousness to find that my legs had been scalded by the rice and water in the chafing dish. I think they thought I was being hysterical and over reacting to the shock at first, because as soon as I regained consciousness I ran into the ocean to get relief from the burns. I was well attended to by the nurse and staff afterward. Another guest reported feeling a shock from the chafing dish, as they had plugged it back and were continuing to use it, but the shock he experienced was much less severe. It seemed they were using a series of extension cords but no surge protectors. I followed up with my primary care provider via a zoom call and the next day upon returning to Manila went to Makati medical center emergency room for all tests ordered by my doctor. Although the staff was attentive and caring, it was a terrifying experience.

Read above. They should not use anything electric on the beach near the water when serving Buffett, it is an electric shock hazard.

The free buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food was 5-star delicious. Pool was clean and staff was some of the best in the world. I was already on Samal Island and drove there. We had a flat and the staff took off our tire and drove it to a tire shop and had it fixed. Superior services. I can continue with this but it would only be a 5 star rating.

The property is beautiful but rather small. Not much to do on site. Small beaches with no amenities. The food and service were great!
