Holiday Inn Express Perth by IHG

The parking is a scam, we stayed for 2 nights and put in the registration as instructed, a week later we had a fine for the first 2 hours of a 2 day stay, we appealed and sent them the booking confirmation etc and as a "good will gesture" they reduced it to £20 funny how the rest of the stay wasn't billed for and we only put the registration in once, not impressed!

Good location, good car park, very clean throughout. Efficient and friendly staff. Comfortable bed, nice hot shower, plenty choice at breakfast. Evening meal was very good.

Could do with a better coffee machine for latte/ cappuccino etc and better toasters at breakfast. Dislike the fact the hotel is dog friendly and dogs are allowed in the lounge area and bedrooms.

I booked three double rooms for three nights. On the Tuesday morning all three rooms (118, 120, 122) suffered dark brown water coming through the hot water sink taps and it had an unpleasant odour. In fairness, by Tuesday evening it was resolved, but it was very off putting. I had previously drank the water from the cold water system and was worried that I may become ill, but I was fine.
