Very damp smell in the air

Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Hotel was clean. Ducansville

Our room smelled really bad. Musky and damp. Everything was damp. The carpet and bedcovers were damp. Phone did not work to call to desk. We had to back down in a very slow elevator to ask for a room change. We were given another room right away but I wondered why they assigned that room in the first place. The phone not working could be a safety and security risk in the event of an emergency or you need more towels or something else. Hotel was very old and dated.

The breakfast was good

The trash can in our room was not empty, The mattress in our room was old and had stains all over it.. There was a nasty hand hand print on the window that should have been cleaned! The pool was to be heated and was not, it was freezing.. The water in the hot tub was murky and nasty.. the hot tub did not even work, we was told to just turn the jets… Still didn’t work!!

Floor around toilet was not really clean.

Food was fabulous Beds was comfortable

Upon arrival we learned that we were being assigned the last available room with the King size bed (that I reserved weeks before) but it was handicap accessible, walk in shower. We found the shower rod unstable causing the curtain to not stay closed, rendering us unable to shower without completely wetting the floor. The room also had a somewhat musty odor which, upon request, we were able acquire some deodorizer to somewhat tone it down. Iron but no ironing board. The temperature control worked well. There were no extra bed items (blankets). The complimentary breakfast was good, and there was refreshing lemon water in the lobby. Hotel staff were very nice during what was a full weekend due to a local event.

There was an exhaust fan on the roof over our room 324 it ran all night the floor smelled like feet and was dirty we booked for 2 nights stayed one and let the next morning the Breakfast was OK but they really should not put the bread with the eggs they cross -contaminate for people that have Celiac aka Gluten allergies
