Wailea Beach Resort - Marriott, Maui

Wailea Beach Resort exceeded every expectation, and I came in with high ones. I surprised my mom with this trip, and watching her reaction when she saw the property for the first time is something I'll never forget. By the end of our stay she told me she could live here forever and that she wants to make this a regular trip to this specific resort. (She's visited Maui many times before so that says a lot). From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the staff set the tone. We were welcomed with fresh fruit and leis, offered golf cart rides anywhere on the property the second we needed them, and never once felt like we had to ask twice for anything. We even got a text after our first night asking if there was anything they could do to improve our stay. Everyone we encountered seemed genuinely happy to be there and that energy is contagious. Our room had an ocean view that swept us off our feet. Waking up to that every morning and being able to walk directly from our room to the beach in seconds made the whole stay feel otherworldly. The property sits nestled between two beautiful golden sand beaches, and the access couldn't be easier. The highlight of our entire trip was snorkeling with Joy. She took us out on kayaks to Paeahu Reef - right in front of the resort - and it was one of the most peaceful, beautiful experiences I've ever had on a trip. Joy is clearly someone who has spent years getting to know this reef. She knew exactly where to take us, pointed out species we never would have spotted on our own, and led us through these stunning underwater arches that felt like something out of a nature documentary. We saw an incredible variety of fish and felt completely safe the entire time. She was knowledgeable, joyful like her name, and the kind of guide who makes you feel like you're the only guests she's ever taken out. If you stay here - book the snorkel experience with Joy!! Don't skip it. Beyond the water, the resort itself offers so much to explore. The pools are beautiful, the adults-only Olakino wellness pool is a dream. There are bikes to rent, beach chairs, lei making, cultural activities, and enough to fill two weeks without ever leaving the property. It never felt overcrowded, the vibe was relaxed, intentional, and quietly luxurious. My mom said she wants to come back every year. I think she's right. If you're looking for a place in Maui that balances world-class amenities with genuine Hawaiian warmth and direct ocean access to one of the most beautiful reefs on the island, this is it. Nice and big

Leni - was the most welcoming concierge we could have asked for! She was more than generous and kind enough to share her story with us! We instantly felt at home with her behind the desk!

This hotel is all about selling more. Most of the rooms appear to be noisy. As titanium elite, we did request and receive a quiet room - our only benefit at this hotel for our loyalty to Marriott. The best thing about the hotel is the walking path on one side and the outstanding shopping/dining center on the other.

Very comfortable beds, nice and clean rooms, pools are great not too overpopulated + waiter/waitress service by the pools and at restaurants are both great. Short little walk to the beach also!
