Comfort Suites Downtown Carlisle

Convenient location, off-street parking, clean, well-maintained property. All enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.

The front desk staff was almost non-existent after we checked in. There was an event occurring below our rooms - music was very loud until well after 11 pm.

Excellent location in downtown Carlisle.

I checked in at around 6pm for two nights. At 10:00pm, after I was tucked in for the night, the front desk called the room, asked who I was. When I told the front desk who I was, she seemed surprised I was in the room I had been assigned, and she claimed I had not checked in (despite me doing so four hours earlier). She refused to tell me what was going on saying it was between her and the general manager. When I returned the following evening for the second night of the stay, neither of my key cards would open the room, and I had to return to the front desk to get them reactivated. On the second and final morning, I could only get cold water from the rainfall shower head. On check-out, I asked to store my luggage. The front desk agent did not refuse, but was reluctant, giving a whole bunch of reasons why it would be difficult and she would not be able to watch the baggage. However, despite my request, did not print a hard copy of my folio, saying she could not do so and was waiting on maintenance.

Wonderful location in Central downtown carlisle, many shops and restaurants, a very walkable neighborhood. Hotel itself was attractive, with an outdoor dining area overlooking a walking Street.

Location was quite convenient for our business in Carlisle. Room was quiet and spacious. Parking was in public structure behind hotel

When set to heat, the a/c unit was a bit noisy. The Whiskey Rebellion restaurant is attached to the hotel but I don't know whether it's co-owned. It was crowded Saturday night and very slow, then closed Sunday night. There were only a couple of other dining options within walking distance.

We LOVED being in downtown Carlisle rather than in a commercial strip outside of town! We also loved the old building - not a sterile, modern box. AND the artwork in the room was LOCAL! Breakfast great.

No negatives!

The room smelled incredibly musty the entire time.

Very clean room, comfortable and clean beds, staff friendly and helpful, however the bathroom was rather worn and dated.
