Hello, We booked this appartement In Budapest and were pretty excited About it. Place was very spacious and beautiful. We noticed broken handle on the Window in the Master bedroom so we came back to the front desk and reported it. Some stuff in the apartment werent finished from the cleaning (full dishwasher, wet rag in the bathroom) but we didnt make a big deal About it since we had an earlier check In and cleaning lady probably didnt have time to fully finish it. After our check In we left to the city centre. After we came back we got a very bad surprise. Front Doors were open and all the lights vere on-included the small lights at the night stands. We triple checked if we locked properly (with electronic lock) because the doors were very fragile, as its usual In older buildings. All shelves and roll doors were open, bags and our personal things obviously checked by the robbers. Robbers took my MacBook, chargers and one bag, where they put all our stolen stuff. We immidiately run to the front desk since it was just 100m from our appartement and reported what happened. We were very surprised that they didnt even asked if something was stolen from the appartement, such as TV or other equipment, and just informed us we have to call Police ourselves and leave because they are closing the office. After I told them we dont feel safe anymore and we have 2 year old baby with us, and if its possible to move to another place or something, we got the answer that someone can come In a while and change the code to the front door. To get to the appartement you have to know 3 codes. Front gate, downstairs gate and front door. Since the lock wasnt broken we really got the feeling that someone must have known all the codes. After Police came we had to go with them to the station and spent there like 3h. We came back around midnight.
