Clean - though I found a big spider in the main bathroom Quiet neighborhood. It’s in a residential area, 1.6km from the main popular tourist attractions, but still our preferred choice for its quiet authentic neighborhood. Just 5 mins walk away, there is a convenience mart. If you want to be where the action is, then this place is not for you.

In the land of the raising sun, the sun raises at 4:45am in May. With no black out blinds in the room, if you like to go to sleep and wake up in the dark, this room is not for you. I wore my eye mask and still the light was bright for me at 5am. To the owners. It will be good to have black out blinds in the rooms. Check in drama. Upon check in, I found 2 keys in the digital lock box. One for Kuri room and the other for Hanare room. Naturally, I wondered which is my room as I don’t want to occupy the wrong room, thinking another guest could be checking in after me. Through texting the company via the booking app , the communication was not clear and eventually, I discovered that my stay includes both rooms. The entier property is all yours during your stay. If only I was told ! No mirror in the main bedroom. I struggled to put my make up on even by using my phone camera. Then I discovered the other annexe bedroom has 2 mirrors ! 🙄 Not enough hooks to hang your clothes and towels in the main bedroom. To the owners, I think the mirror and hooks are something easy to fix.

Son originalité avec le temple, son calme, la localisation pas trop éloignée des transports ou magasins “de base” Bonne literie (futons dans la chambre living) Les équipements (Clim, chauffage que l’on a du allumer le matin, plaque de cuisson, …) Excellent rapport qualité prix Gentillesse et réactivité de l’hôte

La toilette extérieure, peu agréable, et qui nécessite de vraiment sortir de la chambre. L’absence de miroir dans la partie principale (ni dans la toilette avec le lavabo ni dans la cabine de douche ni dans la zone wc douche)

L'une des chambres est de l'autre côté du jardin et possède uniquement des toilettes en extérieur.

The house was amazing with even a real temple inside. We loved to experience a real Japanese house life.

Забронировали этот дом на сутки 2 февраля на день рождения супруги! Худшего размещения представить сложно, так как он не закрывает базу - тепло и тишину! Дом летний - из картона по сути, с туалетом на улице. Кондиционер старый и шумный работает только на охлаждение и мы промерзли до костей ночью, лежа по сути на полу. Этот дом категорически не приемлем для проживания вне летнего сезона . Испорченый праздник и тотальное разочарование

L'atmosphère unique de ce lieu, le calme et l'élégance

The location of this temple stay in Nara is definitely interesting and unique — staying inside a temple is a special experience and the surrounding area is peaceful. However, our stay was far from relaxing.

The staff were unfortunately quite unfriendly and very rigid. There are many strict rules in place, and this is definitely not the place to go if you’re looking for a leisurely or flexible stay. One major issue is the checkout policy: it’s at 10:00 AM sharp, and even being a few minutes late can result in a penalty starting from 5000 yen, which feels excessive and stressful. There was no coffee maker in the room, and to make things worse, one of the air conditioning units was broken — it made a loud, horrible noise all night, making it nearly impossible to sleep. Another major inconvenience was that the staff refused to keep our luggage after checkout. Since checkout is so early, this caused a lot of trouble for us as we had plans in the area and nowhere to store our bags. Overall, while the setting is special, the lack of hospitality and comfort made it difficult to enjoy. I would not recommend this place unless you're very disciplined and okay with a very strict environment.
