The staff was nice and friendly.

I feel like for the price yes it was a king room but it's very outdated the AC didn't work I end up having to go get a fan because it's so hot in there and the elevator was kind of iffy.

Red Roof Inn canceled our room last minute due to "overlooking" they failed to inform me via email or text. They called from a number not associated with the hotel and hour before I arrived after driving 600 miles to get there. The employee was extremely rude especially considering their screw up and tried placing blame on me instead of trying to fix the situation. He refused to call the manager also because he stated thats his wife and he didnt want to wake her up. I absolutely refuse to ever give them any of my business and I will be pursuing further into this situation. I have never experienced such a horrible experience before. I received an email with a confirmation number and I was unable to cancel on my end for im not sure how they were able to cancel our room. I hope we weren't charged. He stated we were not but I also dont trust anything that man said. We had to last minute scramble for another room when we had to be awake very early the next day for state tournament. The man also originally approached me from outside of the building asking if I had a room and I said yes which I thought was super odd. I had no idea he worked there at the time and he failed to mention this at all. He seemed to want to spend more time outside doing.....? Then he did inside helping anyone.

Warm, clean bed. Warm shower. Room was updated and clean, but the rest of the hotel was very worn and tired. Doors showed years of wear, carpet in front of room was dirty and sticky. Continental breakfast wasnt started half an hour after start time. Had to wait 10 minutes for reception to finish smoking before I coukd check in.

Location and staff

Room was outdated, not as clean as it should have been, toilet seat was a round front bowl seat on an elongated bowl toilet and it was loose. Floors were dirty, we walked around in our white socks and they were black on the bottom. Bed was ok but not the greatest.

This was a ridiculous “hotel”… what the reviews don’t tell you is that you are right beside very low income housing. Literal old toilets outside the front doors. There is so an addiction center right beside it and it’s totally in the middle of nothing. Also the police station was right there so I guess there was some form of quick protection if needed. Lol. It’s honestly scary. Very dated - I checked for bugs but couldn’t find any- that actually surprised me. The bed is one of those crazy bouncy ones. At this point I just had to laugh. Gross old showers and bathroom from when it was built. Not very nice sheets- think … like the pictures but yellowing. Nice staff. Would never stay at a red roof again.
