Out in the wide open

The room that was supposed to be Non smoking clearly smelled like years of smoking and many years of other smells. Dreadfully overused without any renovations. There is no way the place can actually be cleaned. I stayed for 30 minutes and had to check out due to the smells and layers of dirt in the upholstery.

Room was booked for 3 adults 1 child and only had 1 x king bed. It was filthy, just about everything broken and not even cheap. only redeeming factor was friendly staff.

The front desk clerk was a very nice young lady who did her best to help us.

Reserved a non-smoking king room. First room they gave us was obviously smoked in for weeks. It reeked really of cigarette smoke. Went back to the front desk and the very nice young lady working immediately gave us a different non-smoking room. It also had been obviously smoked in. At this point we asked to cancel and for a refund. The owner refused to give a refund because there is a 48 hour cancellation policy. We'll take this up with our credit card company. They will be giving a refund, because they did not provide the room we reserved and paid for. A non-smoking King bed. I would not recommend this hotel for anything. We went to Motel 6 across the freeway and got a really good room for the same price. The owner was a jerk for hiding behind a cancellation policy and not delivering the non-smoking room we reserved.

Did not dislike anything except for no breakfast but it was after 10:30 am when I got there so I guess it was my fault.
